Are cursed as well? Have you ever been in a situation where the person you are speaking with just talks in technical terms, corporate speak and jargon, and then expects you to understand everything? Please share your experiences in the comments.

Spoiler alert if you're thinking taking the "1h free training" in the description: its 95% sales talk, not actually teaching. I may pay for the training later but right now I needed a quick 101 for a workshop in 2 days, and this isn't it.

I guess i'm part of the 2.5% I knew the song first listen before reveal. Odd this channel is so big but video has less then 1k views after being out for a day..? Far under 1% of subs watch?

Haha I totally guessed the song :P
I actually thought the curse of knowledge was going to be a different thing: here people struggle to be neutral/not give their opinion etc. and just facilitate when they know a dangerously small amount about the topic. The blessing of ignorance, if you will. Great for coaching too 😄 Great video though!
My pet peeve is TLAs (three letter acronyms) every company I've joined has had loads, now I'm confident enough to say straight away "I really struggle with remembering a lot of acronyms, it takes me so long to remember them that I lose track and can't contribute. Can we try not to use them?"
People are generally accommodating, particularly when I ask them what an acronym means every time they say it 😅
And it dramatically lowers the barrier to entry for all people 🥳

In psychology this is similar to when someone is lacking "theory of mind" which typically happens when someone is younger, how ever depending on a situation, some may over generalize, or lack theory of mind.

Definition: "Theory of mind (ToM) is the ability to understand and reason about the mental states of others. This includes understanding that others' beliefs, desires, intentions, emotions, and thoughts may be different from one's own."

Just like a bit more specific over generalization.

I hate that I just pre-emptively assumed what your song example was going to be at the ~3min marker, and then it ended up being it and could tell immediately in like 3 taps lmao. I have the curse of endless xmas brain
