and THAT'S why is so unfair to compare Maddie with Sophia Lucia. At this age, Sophia already went to competitions and had a much more intense level of training.
But, let's think : this was in 2008 and Dance Moms started in 2011. As we all can see in, like, Cry for example, she improved a LOT for 3 years

This is adorable! She's trying so hard to nail all the moves but still smiles. Ugh, this dance is too cute. I have diabetes after watching this or Kenzie doing "Let Me Entertain You".

Maddie is one of the biggest reasons why I got into dancing. She didn’t knew that three years later, she would inspire so many people❤️

Stop hating on a fetus and comparing it to "better" fetuses, lol. This is exactly why I love Maddie. Everything she is and can do is a product of hard work and love for her art. She wasn't born on pointe, nor has she had any formal ballet training. She earned all of her magic herself. ❤️

It's amazing how much she's grown. People keep comparing this dance to the minis now, but what they fail to realize is Maddie and the other girls have set the bar high, making everyone work harder to do more at a much younger age now

and people say Maddie didn't work hard to be abby's favorite. this was only 3 years before dance moms. she worked her butt off to get were she was in season 1

The comment section is really bothering me. The dancers you are comparing Maddie to (Sophia, Mackenzie, and Asia) all started dance a few years earlier than Maddie. Thus at 5, Mackenzie had been dancing for 3 years. While, when Maddie was 5, she had only been dancing for 1 year. Thus, this was her with 1 year of training.

god when I watch this it looks like some random kid dancer danced, I mean its cute but when anybody says maddie you imagine her always being lead and here is she just sooo cute, but still loving dance :) she improved so much

The fact that she started dance moms at the age of 8 it’s amazing how much she has improved over 3 years! And it’s also funny because the song wasn’t lying.
