12V MPP Solar | Update March 2022 | DIY Modular Solar Inverter Station Build

In this video we share a quick update on how we've got on with the MPP Solar inverter station build completed last year. This project was aimed at keeping the DIY build elements to a minimum, without the need to build a battery or connect multiple solar system components together (using the MPP Solar Inverter instead). It's proved very flexible in terms of solar panels and the ability to easily swap out different 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 batteries.

I'm all about DIY solar, all my appliances are maximum 1000w so I can power as much as I can from the battery storage I have.
I use the epever 40A on a 12v system. My lifepo4's are charged on the "gel" setting 13.7v.
I am on the grid however but I simply love off-setting my consumption by using as much from my solar as humanly possible.
It becomes an addiction and I call it "farming"
My camper van is also my depo for extra energy from the house if I am short. All home grown/self built.
Lovely lovely video, I can watch this channel (for free) all day long.

I understood some of this video, but not a lot of it. So now its time to view some (if not all) of your videos so I can make sense of it, and catch up. I have the Swarey S500 and the 100 watt solar panel for a domestic backup in case of power 'outages'. Would love more though.

I do have a question please, is there a formula or rule of thumb when constructing a solar system as such, when I get around to doing my garden building set up I would like a 3000 watt inverter, is there a guide to what size batteries I would need and thickness of cable and what size array etc?

Photonic universe sell Ionica devices, which on the face of it look like MPP Solar. Does anybody know if they are the same products, just with a different brand ? Only asking fue to availability in the UK and savings on postage.
