I used to be a Riven OTP years ago and can do this very well until I had a motorcycle accident which injured my wrist so I stopped playing. Returned to league at the end Season 9 and I can't do animation cancel without hurting my wrist so I switched to being Rumble OTP. Reached D1 in just 2 months with Rumble

You can Q then right click at the back of the enemy to pass through them, its rly useful if the enemy are running away from you or dodging skills

If you're learning this off this video, click closer to your champion than this guy. Your fast Q will be really slow and unclean like this one. I picked up this bad habbit in s4 when I learned Riven and it took years to undo.

As a Tryndamere otp, i know of riven animation cancels ever since my first time vs riven in silver a few years ago and i use how good they are at animation cancels to determine how i have to play.

This is super important cause so much of Riven's dmg comes from her empowered autos. Also, you can learn to cancel autos with a Q, or the different Q's with moving seperately and combine it all together slowly. Just makes it easier to learn I believe

Fast q is great but don’t worry too much. The auto cancel with q is by far the most important trick any riven needs to learn
