I just purchased the Shark as our first robot vacuum because of online reviews and price. I was searching for setup videos when I watched yours. Out of every video I viewed, Yours was the only one I subscribed to and "liked." I am a big diy guy, so YouTube is my classroom. GREAT job!! I appreciate you! If this were a repair video, I would need you to slow down. However, as a review, you speak so clearly and precise that you made it easy to absorb.

I picked up the q5 max plus for 299 prime day. Love it pretty sure black Friday and random sales will bring it close to that price again.

having had my Eufy L60 for a bit, the room division is a bit quirky but is usually easily fixed
1) sometimes, the app wont let you divide or merge rooms if it thinks the map is outdated, and it prioritizes the map stored on the robot, so backing out of the robot's menus and going back in will cause it to pull a fresh copy of the map and then map editting usually works fine in my experience
2) something else you can try, though this is kinda slow, is what i'm calling either snail or slime mold, the robot does update its map at the end of each cleaning cycle based on what it saw that cycle, and in my experience is pretty good at deciding where new rooms are, so my most recent map i gave it one simple room that was easy for me to prep, and each day using virtual boundaries i've let it discover a little more of the house, i've found that this way even if it doesn't immediately detect a new room, it eventually does fairly accurately divide rooms
3) if it says updated successfully, it doesn't always show you the new room division graphically until you back out and load the map again

I always love your comparison videos. I got the D10+ last year based on your recommendation and it has been great (as long as the floor is relatively clutter free). It also integrates well with Home Assistant if you use the Mi Home app (and not the Dreamehome app).

Well done! In going down the robo-vac rabbit hole, I found that your comparison was very concise and STILL gave me the information I was looking for - well mostly. It would be nice if you would include the vacuum (sans charging base/emptier) dimensions (particularly height), as we seem to have many pieces of furniture that collect a lot of dust and cat hair under them. Very important to us (we have been known to switch out sofa legs to make it high enough for the robo-vac - lol). Thank you for the work you put into this video.
