I waded through handfuls of useless videos to finally find this one that is actually helpful. Thank you for being articulate, practical, and organized.

This video is very informative. I was recently diagnosed with Orbital Cellulitis. Can Orbital Cellulitis heal with only oral antibiotics? I woke up with a swollen/red eye on Thanksgiving Day. A small bump could be felt, but not seen under the lid near the tear duct. Because of the holiday, I was unable to see a doctor until the following Tuesday. The ophthalmologist prescribed Augmentin & referred me to a Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon that I saw the next day (Wednesday) so it was just about a week after the infection appeared. I had no fever, no change in eyesight, color vision was perfect, no signs of injury to the eye, no pain upon movement of the eye. There was slight pain if you pressed on the eyelid & on the bump. He told me to go to the ER for a CT scan, but he didn't order the scan because he does not have admitting privileges at the particular hospital where he wanted me to go. I had planned to go to the ER the following day, but when I woke up that morning, the eye looked 95% better & the bump had decreased in size. Is it possible that I was misdiagnosed & it was actually Preseptal Cellulitis that is being successfully treated by the Augmentin? Should I still go to the ER to rule out Orbital Cellulitis?
