I benefited so greatly from a 14 day fast, it reset my whole existence to be honest. I did a hypnosis treatment specific to gut to change my PTSD around the years' worth of SIBO. No, sugar, no carbs, no starch, no alcohol, no coffee, no sweets, it has been tough, but I have noticed such a change, especially giving up the coffee it was such a trigger. I know everyone is unique, so all info is helpful but not always for you, keep up the hard work my fellow SIBO survivors, we can do this! Thank you, the healthy gut, for posting.

I was diagnosed with IBS last year, but I believe that SIBO is at the root. I am very health- conscious... I exercise daily, eat enough fiber, fruits and vegetables, don't smoke or drink, stay hydrated, etc. But nothing helps! I am looking for a new gastroenterologist and will cut gluten and start a FODMAP diet. My main symptoms are bloating, gas, ( sulfuric) constipation and intermitent loose, bulky stools. I have not had the breath test yet or actually any testing - I am curious as to what they will reveal, and hope to heal soon.

Breath test are in accurate. There was a study were normal. People took the Sibo breath test and it came back positive going down that rabbit hole of antimicrobials and anabiotic’s leads to a state of depression. It makes everything worse.
