New subscriber. Yes - I absolutely go back to substances when I'm in a good place. Even though I just quit vaping, it's more just weed when I feel the need to celebrate.

"It's only weed lol"
"I'm only going to smoke once a week"
"I can moderate myself this time"

All lies that scam me back into it! Not anymore.

I've been into all the addictions you speak of on this channel and appreciate your consistent uploads.

Thanks for uploading these, been browsing all your marijuana content lately. I really want to quit but I just can never give it up at all, it eats away at me. Haven't gone a day without it in a while. But I'm ready to take the steps to get my life back together and quit!

I’m back to comment on another nicotine video. Todays my 4th day without nicotine. I used a few pieces of nicotine gum on the first 2 days. It really was that easy when I decided I didn’t want to be a smoker, and your videos made me realize I don’t need nicotine either. Went from a pack a day to happy with none of the drug in me. I wouldn’t say I have any cravings. I just get a feeling that something is missing and that is accurate because I used to have a LOT of cigarettes at home on my balcony. Adding back the cigarette wouldn’t be such a great idea because I’d be back to where I started, and I know with how many times I have relapsed, it’s not easy to get the desire to STOP again

For me, (among other things) when I was playing mental tennis with my addict brain, it was a matter of "what world would I rather live in?" A world in which I've already made it to a week, two weeks, or even a single day off nicotine, or would I rather live in a world where I have made the decision to go to the vape store and am now only left with the repercussions of that single decision and the addiction itself. Both are two very different people and I think I just got sick and tired of being the version of me defined by the latter of the two decisions. I couldn't muster up the energy to quit even one more time. I hated the me who did go to the vape store and would eventually have to come to terms with the fact that I did need to quit because when you really distill it down to what must happen, its not a question of if, but when. If that's the case then lets just get it over with. That whole game takes too much effort, energy, and is absolutely exhausting. I used to trick myself by thinking that I liked the challenge and that I liked starting over again because its a new start. This is just a bullshit justification and really the truth of it is, is that you haven't really quit if you're off and on again. You're not a person who has enough self control to stop, if you just keep starting again.

I'm at the point where I hate smoking and drinking but I just don't want to go through the withdrawal insomnia. It sucks. My anxiety always peaks at night

25 days sober, and the last couple days have been hard... I got covid five days ago and quarantine has been rough on my mental health. It sucks knowing I'll never feel high again, but knowing that even smoking doesn't really get me high anymore helps. I just look forward to having a normal life, and maybe even getting a natural high one day. Until then, I guess I'll have to hold onto hope.

When they feel sleepy or not normal. They might not even notice they are having withdrawals everyday

I was really really really sick a few days ago with some food poisoning or something and I REALLY wanted some marijuana thinking it would settle my stomach or whatever. I’ve used it for that in the past. I’m still having cravings, but I’ve found other ways of treating it. Oh boy lol. I was thinking to myself, if ever there was a time i could claim I’m using marijuana for medical purposes this would sure be it!

I have had issues with severe allergies since the first surge back in May of 2020. Several times I went to tested only to figure out my lungs where great even tho I'm was a smoker. I mean this year it got so bad I couldn't breath and one day I flushed all my cigs stoped right there and then. All of my allergies stopped a week later, it's been two and a half weeks and I feel great and have not touched one cig. Turned out I was using them like anxiety control. Lately I'm so afraid I'm going to give in and smoke and go right back to lung issues. I guess it's a mental things I build lots of Japanese models and paint pictures alot so that's what I been trying to do but the urge to smoke is strong and I'm afraid I'll give in one of these days.

I’m studying for a really important exam and I have fear of relapsing once I pass or don’t pass it. How do I cope with the cravings ? Because if I pass it I’m going to “celebrate” and if I a don’t pass it I’m going to smoke to cope with my failure. Sorry my English.
