As the universe expands and is constantly filled with dark energy, energy discharges and creates matter and a new univese (what we know as the big bang) these new universes will also expand and celestial bodies like stars and planets can be formed. And while all of this happens space is still expanding and dischaging energy createing even more "big bangs" (space getting wider/bigger - more room for the universes to form
