Be sensible about where you skid! A skid can come in handy when cornering but they shouldn't be used excessively.

Love a good skid, although I reckon everyones had a few scary moments where the skid mark wasn't just left on the trail! 😂

2:58 his look into the camera, we all know it that he has a world record on skidding (referring to an older video). But kept as a surprise xD

The first thing you should say when making a video like this is " DO NOT do this on public trails outside of a bike park or possibly fire roads" Advertisements for bikes and gear promote this kind of irresponsible Singletrack behavior, eroding access for us all as well as making more work for maintenance crews etc. Endurbros already ride like they own the mountain. Ride don't slide, be respectful of other trail users when passing, use a bell, slow for blind corners, dismount for horses... These were all well known "rules" when I started mountain biking in the '90's and I really wish more Youtube channels would promote better behavior. I like GMBN content, but really wish ALL youtubers would realize that not everyone knows these things and repeating them helps us all. Ride safe, be well.

Now we know! Our host is Ri-CHARD. Nice. I’d hate to be doing any bike-skills competition with Blake — however Ri-CHARD holds his own! With style! Our man R. is also a great presenter.

This had me laughing from start to finish. Thanks.

skids always tell a good tale, especially if they disappear into a bush or tree

Thank you for posting a video for skidding. Today I did a skid in the parking lot after I was done riding. It felt so fun to do in such a long time! You guys made it fun to watch and find the videos informative for starting out in mountain biking.

Being a trail builder I would like to comment NO skidding on trails. Before turns, and berms ends up loosening up packed dirt and therefore when a heavy rain hits it washes all that loose dirt away leaving grooves and roots what initially was a packed trail. If you "Earned your Dirt" you would know that.

Hey GMBN! Ride don't slide! Prevent trail damage by keeping your wheels turning whenever possible! If your rear wheel starts slipping on steep sections apply more front brake slowly and your rear wheel will stop skidding! Ride ride ride!

The next thing you know, there will be a video about how to destroy trails on your EMountainbike/Moped.

Wish you would have made a bigger point to not skid on singletrack trails, as it just tears them up and makes them less sustainable. As a trailbuilder, it really chaps my hide to spend 4 hours with 50 other volunteers, repairing trails features and fixing turns instead of extending the trail network itself, because some douchebags decide to skid through carefully designed turns on multi-user trails and tear them up, leaving deep ruts and braking bumps that have to be repaired. We put those features in for a reason, so you don't get to an uncontrollable speed where you can't slowdown or stop when encountering other users and collide or blow them off the trail.

This is why everyone banned mountain bikes when mountain bikes first came about. Fear of this type of irresponsible behavior. Let's not skid, respect nature, others who ride the trail and those who maintain it. Don't take us back to people hating mountain bikers for destroying trails and nature, but for good reason this time.

Intentionally skidding on trails you don't own yourself is an absolute no go. Considering most of us are riding on trails we don't own and the fact that among land owners and authorities mountainbikers do already have a bad reputation of ruining trails and hiking paths, an instructional video on how to intentionally destroy the terrain we love to ride on, will definitely not help our cause. It will only help in getting us banned from the trails for good. Thanks but no thanks!
