Save Images With 300 dpi in Photoshop | Photoshop Tutorial

If we're saving an image to print the recommended resolution for printing is 300dpi. As a default, our images save much lower than this, so when it comes to print there could be some issues with the print quality and bleeding colours. Thank you! I didn't know that it's obligatory change to 16 bits/channel like you did in 0:41! I thought the it was just necessary to go to Image Size and put 300dpi there

hello, thanks for the tutorial. I was trying to do that, however when going to "save as" jpg is not there. So I saved as png. The thing is, when saved in png in the properties of the image doesn't appear the dpi of the image. So, I dont know if it is in fact with dpi, with quality to print.

If i change the resolution to 300 dpi but i change back the size to original, does it make any difference?

Hi, Probably my fault but it doesn't work for me when I try to save a width 7200px x 10800px JPG 300 dpi which was recommended online for Digital print downloads. Nothing goes straight forward for me when I try things! Good vids by the way 👍

It's pretty weird how you can have DPI metadata in your image, considering *Dots Per Inch* is a measure of detail density for printers
