It still amazes me how much better Derek looks and sounds today than he did 4-5 years ago. Much clearer skin, thicker hair, no droning speech, and just generally healthier-looking. He's pretty much aged in reverse since his peak gear abuse days, both esthetically and biologically. That level of progress is commendable.

I was diagnosed with ADD later in life an always had constant racing thoughts which always made it hard to fall asleep. Adderall gives me the ability to focus and now no more racing thoughts. I fall asleep much easier and I am far more relaxed now. However, I do not abuse it and take a relatively mild dose. I also take a week off every 3 months and half my dose on weekends. If you actually need it, it is extremely beneficial.

I was diagnosed with ADHD and life was starting to fall apart. Getting on the right medication has been a game changer. I understand he's talking about abuse.

Stuff literally makes you better at most things. It’s an unbelievable feeling. But the addiction you will almost definitely form is hell when you decide to stop. I had to learn how to enjoy life again without it. Be careful with this stuff.

Simply take another one and work through the night. You'll be in a parasympathetic state by tomorrow night 😂

I'm on Vyvanse rn, the amount of stress and Anxiety, mood swings, anger, depression, crying, impulsive decisions, self destructive habits and hella neurotic behaviours I have OFF of it is insane, on it I feel relatively normal lol the amount of stress is literally not even comparable and some of us NEED this shit, with out meds it's almost like edging, but with a mental breakdown 😂

Took it for a few months after being diagnosed with ADHD as an adult. Highs were high and the lows were low. Had to get off of it because my already “approaching high blood pressure” was skyrocketing. I could hardly fall asleep at night because I could always feel my heart beating out of my chest. It was the most uncomfortable feeling I’ve ever had. During sports it felt like my heart was going to burst literally.

Ended up switching to Wellbutrin XL and I’ve been on it for 4 years now. I love it. Clear headed and focused, without the stimulant feeling. No high BP. No more low lows. For anyone out there diagnosed with ADHD. I would highly recommend trying Wellbutrin XL first and seeing if it works for you. Adderall is just so extreme and I’ve seen too many people get addicted and resort to other drugs. Obviously consult your doctor first though lol

Adderall and other adhd medications can be a very useful tool for increasing focus and productivity for people who lack concentration and or the motivation to do a task but you definitely need to be cautious using this stuff.

I personally use short acting Methylphenidate with propranolol in the morning and only 4-5 days a week. It has helped me tremendously ( i have diagnosed ADHD tho)

I been on 25mg XR for like 3 years now or a little longer. I do have adhd and for me personally, I noticed that brain can kinda regulate how I wanna feel. At work I can get myself moving more and into that slightly more “drive focused” mentality if that makes sense. But if I take my adderall at home and don’t have anything to do, it literally helps me nap and sit still. This is not science or anything but just my personal experience after being on it for a little while now.

Fun fact, the methamphetamine drug desoxyn that’s also approved for adhd showed that unlike adderall, it had significantly lower rates of elevated blood pressure.

As a ADHD person not someone who just takes it for work or school its a wonder drug and helped me and continues to push me to stay in drive
But if your not using it for a actual medical purposes “stop it, get some help”

Vyvance is fantastic. I've been using it for about 4 years now(Adderall extended release for almost 10 before that, on and off), and I can say for certain: if you truly are ADHD, then it is a MUST. The lowest dose you can take, the better. It's the difference between being impulsive and not/less impulsive for me. Finding that perfect dose took a few months, but now I can take my 30mg vyvance everyday, and I can(and often do) fall back asleep(for much longer than I should be allowing myself to) on my days off, and then still able to sleep at a decent time.

I had an echocardiogram a year ago, and my heart is normal, I have great blood pressure, and my anxiety has been under control- we found that paired with BUSPIRONE, I have the best results and feel like ME.

Adderall changed my life honestly. I was extremely tired all day and couldn’t sleep at night couldn’t focus had no motivation. Now I am alert all day and when it wears off at night I sleep great. It also has improved on my ability to be social and I have managed to get 3 raises since going on about a year ago I also managed to get a really awesome position because my job was really happy with me. I don’t understand the people who says it makes them anxious it makes me feel anle to get up and live life. It also has improved on my over eating habits and makes it much easier for me to hit the gym consistently

It's also INSANELY addictive, and getting high on it feels exactly the same as being incredibly productive and accomplishing all your goals for that day, even if you just end up playing candy crush for 12 hours.

I couldn’t begin to explain how right he is. It was noticeable for me how badly it affected my sleep quality. The past year I’ve averaged 5-6 hours of sleep and 50 hours a week at work. I’ve been sleeping half the amount I’m working, and I’m doing very physical stuff. Lost so much weight, and I’m always in a terrible mood because work has stressed me out so much. I was on 10 mg IR in the morning for majority of it. I’ve been titrating off very very slowly and it’s so hard to be focused at work now, I’ve lost a good bit of my productivity because I’m coming off my meds. Not sure if I should try stratterra + sleep more
