PB 110 has a wood enclosure while Encore is pure plastic. Wood is still the best material for woofers.

But then the regular encore comes, as far as i know it should sound more powerful than the essential, and by playtime it should also last for about 6-7 hours

i dont agree with the "louder and more bass" thing, because the 110 has a boomy sound profile, while the encore sounds warm with deep bass. i had the partybox 100 before, some say it sounds better than the 110, but anyway the encore is pretty close to the power and bass of the 100. the encore is the way to go here. not the essential ofc, the original encore has a way better battery for about 6-7 of actuall playback time

I've put them side to side in a store and the 110's sound is much better.

I won a Encore non working will not power up so I won the auction for $100.00 so I got it and checked it out and found it to be exactly as described I could not fix it even after a reset, I call JBL and come to find out it was still under warranty yeah!!!, they said send it back and will send you a replacement 😊

btw, encore is one of the best on the market of jbl (popularity and price/performance rate) gotta say that you have to try the encore for yourself.

i have tested it and i will say for SURE that the encore essential or encore has more bass. 110 IS louder, yes, because its needed for the outside in large places.the encore gets more than 3 hours for playtime but still has not too much. the encore also has more and clear sounding bass than the boombox 3. ofcourse the boombox 3 looks better in most peoples eyes and has way more playtime, but it still is less good sounding than encore. encore essential has no output, but i believe the encore version has it, because of the mic that comes with it. only makes sense that it has an aux output.

I love the portability of the normal encore but those mics is a mehh for me. I would definitly buy the normal encore if it have the same system as the PB110.
