Why would anyone buy this phone?

Samsung announced a folding phone! This is great news for everyone who has been waiting for such a thing! Except... was anyone even asking for this in the first place lol? It's very cool but the price is pretty outrageous and I don't really see the practical purpose. Still, it's worth mentioning because it's the first folding phone made by a major phone manufacturer and might lead to even better designs in the future.

More likely it'll target business professionals. I'd like one. It would make reading emails and looking at things like word docs and spreadsheets easier while away from the office

What I like about this option is that it allows you to have "tablet" as your phone, something that is not offered in any other tablet.

They put two batteries in this phone and all they could manage is 4380 mAh? Yeah that's big compared to regular smartphones, but when Joe said two batteries, I was expecting at least 5000 mAh. I'd rather have less RAM and a bigger battery. You don't need 12 GB of memory in a phone.

what puts me off is that you will probably get a 2nd rate experience on a plastic screen. it will require a number of generations before plastic is as good as glass i think.

Definitely needs refinement but I'm totally digging it. I'd like a powerful phone with the screen real estate to read books and watch movies comfortably. The bigger the better.

For business purposes it'll be useful, no longer need to carry a large screen smartphone and a tablet at the same time... For someone who works in a logistic field but needs to occasionally run around; for calls or reading text messages, the small screen is sufficient... Then say to check/file clearance forms/documents open up to the larger screen and multitask on split screens for quick referencing... The cameras are overkill though, and thickness wise, the phone will be thrown into backpacks or briefcases so it wouldn't be an issue unless the screen or hinge easily breaks...

If this thing was closer to $1250 I would definitely consider getting it, I think it is awesome the only thing I would do different is Make the front screen bigger and take the selfie cameras off the inside to make the screen bezeless Which would add 2 selfie cameras on the front, you have the Room so why not do it.
