360 degrees. The Great Wall of Hadrian in Britain felt that it was worth visiting during the epidemic....

I well recall a Housesteads school trip where we all (kids and teachers c.1969) walked along the top of the wall. I gather that such an activity is no longer allowed.
Living in the area; I often drive past exposed sections at West Denton and Heddon.
People who live nearby know exactly what they are, but they are such a familiar (indeed daily) sight to them they've totally lost any interest.

I would have thought that English Heritage would have known that Hadrian's Wall crosses northern ENGLAND, and not northern Britain. There's a significant difference, of several hundred miles between the two!

Hey, it's pretty cool. I will most definitely add this to a medieval fantasy book I am writing.

Looking at how much of that wall has been looted and consistently over the whole length, there must be a lot of constructions of every sort the entire length out of the blocks of rock .
