How to Install Microsoft SQL Server 2019 & SSMS on Windows 10/11 [ 2023 Update ] Complete guide

Installing Microsoft SQL Server 2019 is very easy. Just follow the following steps and there you go to create your first SQL database!! So let's begin.

Step 1. To install Microsoft SQL Server 2019 first you just need to download .exe file from the following Link:

Step 2. After downloading Microsoft SQL Server 2019 run the .exe by double-clicking it.

Microsoft SQL Server is a relational database management system developed by Microsoft. As a database server, it is a software product with the primary function of storing and retrieving data as requested by other software applications—which may run either on the same computer or on another computer across a network.

Step 3. You need to click the License agreement as shown in the video.

Step 4. Now simply install all Microsoft SQL Server 2019 as shown in the video.

Step 5. After installation, you need to install SQL Server Management Studio or SSMS. SO download it from the following link:

Step 6. Now after installation simply login into the server using windows authentication as shown in the video.

Step 7. After making a connection now it's time to create your first SQL database. For that, simply type CREATE DATABASE yourdatabasename;
And there you go!!

This video helped me install Microsoft SQL Server. In starting I had error stating the last reboot of system was not done correctly. I did restart my system 'n' number of times, uninstalled all previous SQL softwares, which all did NOT help. At last I used SQL Server Installation center to repair the SQL - Express folder . I also updated and upgraded the server. And finally could install and use SQL Server. Could you also make video on how to do the repairs or maintenance and also video on possible errors while installation. Anyways thanks a lot for educating us on the installation process. Also could you also explain the difference between SQL server and studio? Thanks a lot again.🙂
