For some reason the current installer just skips from the install process straight to trying to automatically connect.. so some sql server.. and since I won't disable my firewall, not to mention the whole network it would be used in is off the grid.. it of course cannot connect, and promptly fails the entire thing with that 2068119551 general error, specifically 40 (Named Pipes Provider) "unable to connect to SQL server".

It is dumb of them too. I am just now trying to install the server, then the manager tool.. so obviously there is no sql anything to connect to yet, why the heck is it trying to connect to something that has no way of existing?!?
