Poor Bessie. Poor Katherine. Poor Anne. All those women played with and thrown in the trash like they were just toys for Henry.

The way he said " Yes Mamma I Promise" would melt anyone's heart. So cute and so sad

How heartbreaking for Katherine. All she wanted was to give Henry a healthy son.

I felt for Lady Blount. She led a comfortable life, but it must have been all terribly unhappy for her.

It is easy to forget that despite the politics involved these were human beings. The loss of a child is always a tragedy (even if he was 17 irl) and Henry did love his son.

The sad thing about this is that Henry fitzroy didn't die until he was a teenager. He was 15 or 17 when he died and they show it as him dying as a child. But then again, this show has never been about historical accuracy. So...

She is scared of her baby becoming his daddy…

All of the mothers of Henry’s children truly loved their babies…

Sad they had Henry for a father

For a hard man like Henry, he truly loved his sons. The way Jonathan portrays a loving father (at least for boys) is so warm, and this scene when he mourns his son, ugh its so heartbreaking. Jonathan is amazing.

How awful for Elizabeth. She raised her baby until he could walk up to Henry and receive his titles and then he was taken from her to live in his own house and be raised by servants because he was the kings son. If my daughter had been taken from me when she was so little idk if I could have survived it. I’d cry every day.

It was very powerful symbol to put the boy on the throne he was sitting on..
Henry had every intention to make him king, he was even married to a woman who was deemed suitable to become queen.

Sadly the boy died at 16/17 but if he didnt die history may be very different

I love this actress. She was a great Bessie.

That little boy is so cute. He looked so clueless at the beginning of the video. I've seen a little behind the scenes of filming with the little boy who played a very young Edward and they were cute too watching him trying to remember his lines.

A mother having to bury her dead young child is really hard to watch…

Don't know why they killed him off as a toddler in the series. Not accurate.

I sometimes wonder why Henry didn't keep going back. To Lady Blount for children, she had after all given him a son. Even if the poor boy only made it to 15. She clearly gave birth to a then healthy child.

Loosing a child is unbearable enough as it is, but imagine not being by his side when it happens, just knowing he was in pain and fear and asking where his mom was!

P.S.: I know they rewrote the actual historical circumstances here and the real Henry F. didn't die until he was 17. Still heartbreaking, of course!

I feel that Edward was the reincarnation of Henry Fitzroy

While I understand the need for expediency in television dramas, I never understood why The Tudors (which got so many things right) rewrote history so strangely in certain storylines. Henry's sister "Margaret" who was really "Mary"....she married the King of France (who died soon after their marriage), not the King of Portugal....Henry Fitzroy died in 1536 at the age of (+/-) 16, a married man, not as a child of whatever (6 ?)...etc
Weird
