In this video I compare four popular midi keyboards for 2018 and help you decide which one is best for you. If you are looking to buy a midi keyboard, you need to watch this video. This video is especially helpful if you are new to music production. Depending on your needs, I recommend which of these midi keyboards is right for you. The four keyboards I’m comparing here are the Arturia Minilab Mkii, Akai MPK Mini, Komplete Kontrol A25, and the Roli Seaboard Block. All these keyboards have 25 keys and are capable of plaiyng sounds through software and your DAW, and also controlling the sounds you make. I will cover features, feel, portability, build quality, and included software. I also reveal my current favorite midi keyboard. These are midi controller keyboards, so they don’t make sounds on their own, they need software which is included to produce sounds. All keyboards are under $200, except for the Seaboard Block which is $300. These midi controller keyboards work with any DAW including Ableton Live, Logic, and many others.

After watching your reviews, I got the Arturia Minilab MKii for my 13 year old. He's mad on DJing and has a Pioneer DDJ-400.
He studies piano, singing and Er-hu.
His dream is to be a DJ, producer and writer.
He's having a blast with FL 2 Studio and now creating his own sounds and compositions with Arturia Minilab MKii.
I was very happy when he said, "Now I feel I don't want to play computer games anymore."
Thanks for your review.
It really helped.

I bought my own Arturia Minilab MK2 and start watching you after this video. This midi keyboard is my very first musical instrument and really enjoy to play around with all this sounds that Analog Lab provides to you + it's really convinient to have these knobs in front of you. Many thanks from Russia for your reviews

Can't help but like this bloke. Good, friendly way of getting the info across. Gets down to business & doesn't spend too much time waffling. Knows his stuff too. After Big Sur / M1 I'm getting a bunch of new kit for my HS - he's the go to audio / production geezer.

The seaboard block is legit the coolest thing ever. I might be biased since I am primarily a violinist, so vibrato on a piano was always my dream, but you can be so much more expressive on it. I have a block that’s studio edition, and they legit give you so many sounds. I have an akai as well, and use that for a more stationary sound.

I have the 49-key KK MK2 keyboard as my main home controller, so for me having the Arturia keyboard would be great for going portable and sculpting my sounds with the V Collection, since they are already mapped. Another great video; thank you, sir!

One of the best things I like about one of these MIDI keyboard is the flexibility of the Arturia Minilab. I don't have any midi keyboard but as sanjay sir said that it's sound designing feature is awesome so I am really rooting for it. Designing sound is not a one-minute process where you take a preset, changing few knobs and putting it in a track. It takes time and that is my best time during production process. I just get lost while designing sounds which I generally do with my mouse and keyboard in my DAW. Obviously, getting a hands on experience is going to make it more immersive. Also it comes with drum pads, knobs and the best part that this is so portable. You can take it anywhere and just design sounds feeling your surrounding.

In my opinion, I have the Komplete Kontrol M32, and it works excellently. The keys are small yet big enough to play with ease, and although I would like pads, the Machine Mikro MK2 makes up for it. I recommend the keyboard. 10/10

I got the Arturia MiniLab for £79, then the Arturia V collection upgrade for €199 instead of paying €249 during BF! Kind of made the keyboard worth around £30 ish. Maps nicely. Having a lot of fun with all the old school synths!

This was likely the very first video I saw of yours, but I found it incredibly helpful in making my first purchase for a midi controller keyboard.
