“Formative assessment is not a process done by teachers to students. It is led by teachers, but is actually done with students, to engage students in their own learning."

Im glad that finally I find a video in which we are permitted to comment. It is ironic that Dylan William is trying to encourage interaction between learners and students, however we the learners who might want to grasp what he is talking about are not being given a opportunity to engage in the very principles he is lecturing. Therefore all his videos are doing is lecturing. I thought that was what he wanted to get away from? The best process of teaching and learning is active engagement between the teacher, the subject and the student. Yet here we have a man who reads from a script, presses a computer power point button. Its ironic.

Sharing learning intentions... isn't this one of hatties's effects which makes a noticeable difference to achievement? Please clarify!
