I play Metaphor ReFantazio with the MC Will and my followers Strohl, Hulkenberg, Heismay, Junah, Eupha, Basilio and Neuras. Together we tackle the Boss Louis, the Dragon, the Elegy of the Soul, although I have done 3 challenge runs / 4 playthroughs at this point, and still not a single NG+ to take on the Superboss.
I am a huge fan of this game, and I've been loving the Metaphor ReFantazio OST and gameplay ever since I played the demo!
I am pretty new to JRPGs and have only played Persona 5 Royal and Metaphor ReFantazio so far. I'm very excited to tackle on other Atlus games like Persona 4 Golden, Persona 3 Reload and the Shin Megami Tensei (SMT) franchise next.

Additional tips:

1. Buy 7 Archetypal Rings, equip everyone (including back up members) with it.
This way you generate A-Exp (and Leaves) quickly simply while progressing dungeons and quests, especially if everyone is on a mastered Archetype, since those always need 1000 exp to "level up", which then gives you a Hero's Leaf of Light (a consumable that gives the user 1000 A-Exp).

2. In the final arc, the Mustari Merchant in Grand Trad (the one who sells Soothing Sweetbun + Mindless Mallet) stocks Evil Eye Talismans.
Buy an entire stack, it's a very useful item.

3. In the final arc, you will be able to cook Sublime Spoonful. For this, you will need Lord of the Lake + Queen's Honey Jars. Check the description for their locations.
