Having been to countless consents over the decades a lot of bands that came out around the same era aged like milk. These dudes just got tighter as the years past. Simply musician's musicians.

I started listening to Mastodon back in 2011 (can't believe that was 12 years ago) right before The Hunter came out which still remains one of my favourite albums of all time to this day. I saw them live back at Download 2013 and even so I don't think I've ever heard them sound better than this. They have truly become iconic, Troy is an absolute beast of a frontman, Bill is one of the tightest rhythm players of all time, Brent is an absolute wizard on lead guitar and Brann is one of the best metal drummers of all time.
