What are sebaceous filaments?

Sebaceous filaments on nose, you may have noticed those tiny dark dots on your face that don’t exactly look or act like blackheads, since they arent blackheads. Theyre actually hairlike structures, that line the inside of the pore and help sebum travel to the skin’s surface and you find some want to get rid of sebaceous filament removal at home.

How to get rid of sebaceous filaments?

Controlling the amount of oil on the skin and using exfoliating skin care products can help keep the pores clear, which is what the aim is when it comes to treating sebaceuous filaments. Doing so, can help minimize the appearance of sebaceous filaments and sebaceous filament oil cleansing. The reason why I say minimize, is because you dont want to permanently get rid of them, they help channel the flow of sebum.

Sebaceous filaments removal

Sebum has an innate antibacterial activity as well as an anti-inflammatory function for the face that you need. In other words, natural face oil isnt the problem. A big mistake when it comes to sebaceous filaments on nose, is mistaking them for blackheads and squeezing them. Do not squeeze them as this will lead to unnecessary and unintentional harm to your face as well as scarring.

Literally just learnt about this annoying problem. Thought it was blackheads or whiteheads. Nice ideas.
Oil pulling is another natural way…
Products are good, but I feel one should seek natural remedies too!

Is it ok to use Retinol immediately after the exfoliation? Shouldn't we alternate it?

Help what do I do now? I got two of these, on the side of my nose, I have NEVER had them before so suspect it’s the Estée Lauder crap serum. I know what a normal blackhead is but I rarely have them but I could tell this was different as it looked like a tiny black hole. Anyway I squeezed and squeezed until I pushed my nose so hard and I ripped my skin off and got a bruise under my nose from all the pressure. I’m sure nothing is broken but I wonder what I should do?

Undrrated is eating healthy. I used to blend kale, cucumber, lemon, pineapple and drink it at least 4 times a week. I didnt strain it, just blend it really smooth. It's not delicious but thats not the point. I did that and switched to accure facewash from whole foods. This was the only thing that actually closed my pores and made them go away. Of course im not perfect so when my diet and habits changed (and when i stopped buying that cleanser) they came back. Idk maybe this info will help someone.

Is it normal to have them all over your body!? They’re on my legs, arms, chest area. Doesn’t matter how hard I clean my skin.

Why would you first use Niacinamide and then exfoliate it off with Salicylic Acid on step 2? Seems counter intuitive
