The last day of the meet 😭 Can't believe it's over. I'd like to thank everyone at 'Saratoga Live', for a really fun summer 👏👏👏👏👏

How cute. Ferocious didn't get ferocious till the horse outside of him came up on him. Have they been training him on the inside with stablemates running to his outside? Anyway, yay for CMcP, he's a gem. He was next to last and had to go six wide to get there.

Ferocious Has Not Hit His Best Stride Until Deep Stretch in His 2 Races...Perhaps a Stretch Out to 1 Mile or 1 1/8th Would Suit Him Better....The Winner is a Good Horse But Ferocious is Certainly Still on My Radar

Yeah ferocious would beat that horse 9 out of 10! They just need to figure him out and he’ll be great going forward

The top two within this field finished first and second-a very fitting finish, imo.
I was cheering on Ferocious and I'm still high on the Flatter colt, however, it came as no surprise that Chancer McPatrick emerged as the victor here. As is the case with Ferocious, I've had my eye on Chancer McPatrick ever since his debut. Needless to say, he most certainly isn't the one to overlook.
Ferocious hesitated to enter another gear in the stretch (which is an issue that I'm sure has to do with him being green) and furthermore, I've heard several individuals claim that he lost a shoe as well. Regardless of however true this is, I nonetheless believe that he was clearly the better of the two in this specific race despite placing second. Chancer McPatrick's close was impressive, sure, but I think we all can agree that had Ferocious not taken so long to get going, he would've separated himself from the rest of the field and in doing so, he would've put too much distance between himself and Chancer McPatrick to be caught.
With that having been said, both of these two-year-old colts are promising and I cannot wait for them to cross paths once again. Thus far, 2024's rendition of the Breeders' Cup Juvenile is looking to be quite interesting.

Hmmmm. No love for the winner. Closed up in 35 and change, and out closed the 3/5 favorite super horse they are touting.
