This song reminds me of my niece and nephew’s sadness when my brother went through a nasty divorce. They were 13 and 14. They thought it was their fault and didn’t understand why. I told them it has nothing to do with them and need to grow up faster than they’re supposed to. Glad to see them matured up and doing well in college.

I love this song! It touches my heart so much! All those parents who are torn in their decision to divorce knowing that it will profoundly affect their children and yet knowing they can no longer pretend to be in a loving relationship. I appreciate his struggle and also his compassion for what his children are going through. I pray this song helps those trying to decide between staying in a loveless marriage and leaving to find a loving relationship. Children do need to see the "Real Thing". They actually know intuitively whether it is truly a loving relationship. Thank you Kenny for this song! So honest and raw!
