This is the way they need to go. Great job by Geely/Zeekr on this.

There's a point where range is absurd. What if I told you that Tesla is about to come out with a car that has 1000 miles of range? Is that what you need? I thought that I needed 400 miles of BEV range to buy a BEV. I find that 280-300 miles is more than sufficient in my Model Y. About 2.5-3.0 hrs of driving and then a 15-25 minute charging stop. Barely enough time to have a bathroom break, get a snack/drink, and walk the dog. 550 miles of range is kind of absurd, in my eyes. You certainly don't need it for your daily drive and you're just lugging around an expensive battery you don't need 99% of the time. Give me a smaller battery and less cost.

My concern about these vehicles becoming more and more powerful is that we're putting race car performance in the hands of Jo Public.
On a daily basis I see folks driving who shouldn't be in charge of anything more powerful than a baby buggy....

900ks range and very fast charging! These Chinese cars are getting pretty good. Still, I'd like to see more load space like a station wagon. I wonder what charging network it will have access to in Oz? I won't be dropping 60k on any car though.

Small hatches and city cars 400km range is fine.
But for Australia, 900km range is what you get from a hybrid. That's what's needed for Bev's to be competitive for all round use.

Fun to watch your videos even though most of the cars aren't going to be sold in USA.

I’m guessing this is what the Volvo ex60 would look like if Volvo wasn’t so slow at developing new models.

Even a Tesla Y - which is the most efficient SUV - would get nowhere near 900kms on a 100kwh battery. I just drove a Tesla Y LR and got around 200wh/km with a couple of quick motorway stints. So around 600kms real world range for the Zeekr long range. Getting it to just 700 or 800 you would need to really eco driving.

But that is still very impressive. I wish Tesla would throw a 100kw battery in the model Y giving it a real world range of 600kms. And then 10-80 charging in 10mins - wow, bye ICE.

Between the 7x and Juniper, the cheaper one will be better for me!! 😊

For a 100KWh usable battery, I would not expect more than a 400 mile range (650Km).

I've tested drive Zeekr X. I can tell is a good car to drive, it is european standard in both safety and performance. I am sure the new 7X would not disappoint you

Don’t think it will be released before juniper is out, lots of logistical matter for zeekr consider it is first time in Australia

May i give a suggestion here:
Can you please create some timestamps for the key pieces of information in your content: price, battery types/sizes, realistic range, power, charging.
This was 8:30 minutes of a nice story, but very difficult to find what i normally come here for.

Yep… The 7X has just jumped to the top of my WishList, particularly if they can bring it in at the sort of price you mentioned. I currently have a RWD Model 3, but I won’t be getting another Tesla. I don’t like what they’re doing with their extreme minimalism philosophy; things like removing the excellent steering column stalks. Plus, I think they’re just being left behind by the Chinese manufacturers. Teslas just don’t have the same design appeal; their designs are way too old now, and weren’t particularly good to start with. The Highland and Juniper refreshes are not doing nearly enough to keep their cars relevant in the face of the competition now coming from Chinese manufacturers.

Looks like a great car, how efficient is the car. Why is efficiency not a major talking point only battery size.
