I love how he colour grades his footage to match each scene being shown it's a great way to not be distracting and have the footage be cohesive.

The absolute state of male loneliness when this resonates with so many of us so deeply. This is how starved we are for emotional and intellectual intimacy. 😭 Such a lovely movie, such a heartbreaking ending. But thankfully he became such an even better man by the end.

i loved this movie so much, a professor of mine in a critical thinking and argumentative writing class showed it to us at the end of the semester (zero shame with the cat scene) and had us write a quick essay on it. probably one of the more enjoyable essays for me to write, and i was glad to find i received really positive feedback on my analysis of the movie! it really altered how i perceive and tackle relationships, and made me understand that a happy relationship isn't always a stable or healthy one.
