Thanks you for your comments! I do my best to keep up with them for the first few days after a video comes out, but due to the volume of comments on all of my videos, and to the general hustle and bustle of life, I must give up the fight after a while. If you are leaving a question four or more days after a video comes out I can't guarantee I'll see it, but perhaps one of my other viewers knows the answer and can help out. Thanks in advance to those who contribute and share their knowledge. Cheers and stay safe everyone!

I think your comments are spot on. To me, the big drawback for Aprilia is their lack of a strong dealership network in North America.

I've got 40K miles on my Shiver and would buy another Aprilia in a heartbeat, it has been a very reliable bike, and I'm happy to see them get back into the ADV market

Great video, keep up the good work. I love my T7 so I'm biased. My only "nice to have" on the T7 would have been cruise control. Otherwise, I love the simplicity and analog feel.

As Ryan F9 aptly said in his comparison between first oil change for many manufacturers

The Italians are here for a good time, not a long time

I think the only electronic feature that matters for a middleweight like these bikes is cruise control. It feels like the one thing I’d actually miss on the T7. That being said the T7 will be far more reliable and cheaper to run.

The Tuareg is a beautiful bike with an ugly headlight. The T7 is also good looking imo. Yes the Yamaha is devoid of tech rider aids, except ABS, but in the end, price and Japanese reliability makes the T7 the bike I would buy without any doubt. Great video by the way.

You guys should probably save the reliability argument until the bike is released. Times are changing I been riding long enough that I remember Yamahas were garbage only Honda had reliability.Maybe this bike will be solid. Plus no matter how good the Tenere is if you can't find one then what good is it?. If this bike comes in at 12500 with all these options it will force Honda, Triumph and the others to build a smaller ADV bike. its a win for all of us and Kudos to Aprilia for building it.

Sorry, but you missed the most important thing - the handling on/off road. Tenere is top heavy and has a cheap, weak suspension, while Toureg has top level KYB suspension and handles like a enduro motorcycle off road, like a sports bike on road with this amazing chassis. The mass distribution is perfect (the engineers placed the fuel tank low down next to the engine). Never had an Apprilia before, so I decided to test it yesterday, and I must say this bike is - something! Wow! For me it is the winner in the ADV category for 2022. You have to compare this bike with KTM ADV 890 R, not with Tenere, because they play at very very different levels. I'm thinking of swapping my KTM ADV 790 R to Aprilia for now. Still have a smile on my face today :) This bike is a joy to ride

Italian design is renowned throughout the world. That goes for everything from clothes, to sports cars to coffee makers. However, Italian mechanical reliability? Not so much! Go with the Yamaha if you're planning a serious adventure ride. If you're going to be commuting around a major city with a Euro bike dealer (who happens to service Aprilia), then get the Tuareg.

We in India, don't have the T7 neither will we be getting the Tuareg, but given an opportunity, I'd love to own the T7 for it being analog/mechanical/no frills motorcycle.
This is the first time I visited your channel and I am happy to say, I will keep visiting hereafter.
I just loved the way you've narrated the whole thing. 🤜🏼🤛🏼 🙏🏼

Yamaha just adding the cruise control will make our journey to trail's much easier and the Trail's you know the rest of story .

I had a Tuareg 30 years ago. Was not the most reliable, but looks and joy of riding it are unforgettable. The new one brings back that nostalgia and am inclined to seriously consider one next year unless Kawasaki decide to finally update the Versys 650.

The Aprilia looks nice but, as you point out - there’s no dealer network here (SW Ontario) and reliably compared to Yamaha, especially with so much tech, is likely to be poor. What is the fun of owning a bike that is always busted.

Having ridden the T7 only on a two hour test ride (yes I've got one of the best dealers on the planet) I can say I was completely positively impressed. Yes I agree extra features on these particular bike are largely unimportant. All we need is to get down and dirty! As a road bike it is a hoot, I rode it two up for some of the ride and it does that too. I sneaked a bit of ball bearing gravel and it was good to go although I respected the loan bike. Adding features with the Aprilia may not be enough, time will tell. The T7 is a hard act to follow, simplicity is a good motto off road. Greetings from Australia.

Another exceptional review! First let me say that you are extremely gifted in your ability to narrate a review like this and provide this kind of content. Having said that, I become interested in adv bikes because of their potential versatility and good looks and ruggedness. (although I do not plan on going off road but who knows). I will look at both bikes, particularly the Tenere for the reasons you mentioned. I am on a Norden, Ducati Desert X, and Triumph watch as well. I hope you do something on them so I can see what you say. BTW, any man who sleeps with a cat is special!

The Aprilia wins on the spec sheet and at the local coffee shop, the T7 I suspect will win on the backroads and trails when you're 3 days from a dealership...And in 10 years and 75, 000 km later the T7 will be going strong with minimal fuss. The Aprilia? Maybe, but I doubt it.

id love the tuareg if aprilia had more dealer network.
