The 1754 Taal Volcano eruption is the most violent and most destructive. Its eruption site came from a main crater. It lasted for 6 months, creating a base surge and burying 4 lakeshore towns in ash, volcanic rocks, and water. As a result of the eruption, the topography of Batangas changed forever. It not only changed the province's geography, but it caused the Pansipit River to become narrow, thus turning the Taal Lake into freshwater, and maliputo, tawilis, and bangus became freshwater fish ever since.

Binintiang Malaki is a cinder cone that last erupted in 1707. The 1754 eruption came from the main crater and it was quite the event: PHIVOLCS says it's VEI 4 but descriptions more closely describe a VEI 5 eruption.

Fun fact: Taal volcano has a massive hydrothermal system and in fact has an eruption style named after her, called a "taalian eruption"; Taal is a poorly known flooded caldera; recent research suggests she has a caldera-forming event as recently as 3, 500 BC and her smallest caldera forming event was 3x more powerful than Pinatubo 1991; Taal is a decade volcano and she is considered to be a site of potential future super eruptions (1000 cubic km of material)
