A ProCharger is the same as any Centrifugal Supercharger. I’m not saying it’s the same as other types of superchargers such as roots, twin screw or electric.

Some people seem to get confused when I call ProChargers Superchargers in my videos so here is the clarification!

Actually there are a lot of differences the main one being design

Actually there's a huge difference unless it's a screw style blower if it's a root style blower it causes a lot of heat!

Correct me if im wrong, Procharger would be top end speed and supercharger would be right from the jump like from drag/dig racing?

Doesn’t the term “procharging” (not the brand) refer to both superchargers and turbos together?

Could you attatch the supercharger where the fan goes on like a 99 chevy blaizer since its also crank driven and have it work

You asked the difference between the two yet you show a roots type blower and a centrifugal blower . There's a pretty big difference . Especially where it comes to air volume .

Similar idea but create power differently. Definitely not the same.

So after seeing the comments on this post. I gotta say you’re “core” audience is going to know the difference on this one. I get some small group (be it new to power adders or someone who stumbled across this) might not get what you’re talking about. But overall I’d recommend sticking to basics or full on technical. You can call a old G ladder a “Super Charger” but don’t put it next to a positive displacement and say they’re the same thing. They’re just not. That will cause more confusion and less understanding from the people you’re trying to reach/ help. I think most of us would accept “pulley driven boost creator” 😂 over the semantics of the many many differently patented “super charger” designs. Or just say it’s a centrifugal supercharger (explain what that is) along with the other brands listed. Really the main two S/C’s are positive or dynamic (centrifugal or multi stage axial-flow) and you chose to put it next to a positive displacement?! Hopefully (op) knowing they completely function differently. Minus the fact they’re both ran from a pulley. Love car content and hope you keep at it, just be more technical/ clear.
