MC Hammer performs in the music video "Pray" from the album "Please Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em" recorded for Capitol Records. The video opens with a choir of gospel singers singing in front of a large fountain. MC Hammer sings the song as he walks down a city sidewalk joined by backup dancers.

I'm just a White guy who lived and worked in the Black community and loves Black gospel music, I'm still grateful that Hammer somehow got this expensive film made. It's well-scripted, perfectly acted, with multiple camera angles, well-mic'd, and with a full cast of REAL Black folk. And of course the record itself illustrates the struggle of racist reality that is the US. I love his multiple characters, even kicking his public image back in 1990. Somewhere, I have a 45 of this. I wish he'd done more in this line.
