I remember my dad jamming out to this on his mix tape with all the late 80s, early 90s bangers anywhere we went in the car. Never knew this would be my shit decades later. Typical black dad experience, left my moms, never came to see us but I grew into an adult and forgave him for leaving me, my sister and mom and now we have a great relationship.

MC Hammer is one of those rappers that a lot of people are ashamed to admit they used to love especially when gangsta rap hit big. But, I gotta give it to him. He was a Black man who, at one point, was the highest selling rapper ever! He made millions and millions and millions of dollars. He went back to his hometown (Oakland, CA) and got his friends and family off the streets and hired them, and helped a lot of people and left a huge impact on the hip-hop culture. That aside, I bet he had to pay Prince a strong grip to clear this sample.
