O Son!
I got a fire of your kind in my mouth
Can't tell how that fire burns me
As my tongue is sealed with hundreds of locks
I got such secret flares and flames
That they can swallow both of two worlds instantly
Why worry about this world getting completely destroyed?
I got hundreds of secret worlds

O Son!
Let tears keep flowing from my eyes; let them never stop
Why would I keep my head (on my shoulders) from now on?
What I drink is blood of liver
What I eat are trouble and sorrow
My meal is cooked in all sorts
In the kitchen of my soul

O Destiny!
May you stop functioning; may you crumble forever
Since you have set me ablaze from inside and outside
The burden of grief I carry
Cannot be endured even by destiny itself
None like me has been seen in this valley of suffering

O Muhibbi (Suleiman's nickname)!
There is no remedy for this sorrow until death
No surprise if my tears add up
To become ocean henceforth

interesting fact: this poem was really written by süleyman. Suleyman is a great poet and today there are about 3000 poems in his poetry book that has survived from the Ottoman dynasty.

Even though Sultan Sulman is a great sultan but there is no guarantee he will directly go to paradise
but Sehzade Musthafa is guaranteed to enter paradise and live a far better life than his father there.

I still kind of feel sad for Suleiman
He told Ibrahim to make sure he never kills a son of his but with Ibrahim gone Hurrem decided it was time for Mustafa next
So Hurrem, her daughter and Rustem successful made a plot to get Suleiman to kill Mustafa, he didn't want it but felt he had to
Mahidevran also played her own games just like everyone else but in the end it was Suleiman who had to live with the guilt of killing his own son

I am not buying the idiotic story of Suleyman regretting killing Mustafa one bit. He never regretted it. If he did regret any of it he wouldn't kill Mustafa's son. He was not a great ruler. He was a ruthless children murderer. And those who blame Hurrem for all of it... It was all his decision.
