Kid Stuck in Colorado for 3 Days After CrowdStrike Glitch

A 12-year-old boy found himself stuck in Colorado for three days after Delta Airlines temporarily banned unaccompanied minors from flying. Patricia Starek ended up paying $650 for another flight to get her son back home. Delta says it temporarily paused its unaccompanied minors program because they didn't want kids to find themselves lost in the airport chaos. However, parents say the freeze came without warning and it sure seems to have stressed out moms and dads who were caught unaware. Delta says the temporary ban ended today.

You can pause flights for unaccompanied minors at their point of origin, but not those on connecting flights.

Maybe they should have allowed the kids already in the system. How stupid!

What about the kids already caught up? They have put all those kids in danger!

glad the kiddos made it to where they needed to go.

If a kid is a teenager, I can see letting them travel by themselves. But letting a 5 or 10 year travel alone in today's world is ludicrous to me. Even if they have some type of airline person around. You don't know these people.

Welp they should have cancel it altogether, or even tell the parents first. You can't just say "Lets keep the kids here without their parents" like you have authority over that.

File a lawsuit against the crowdstrike and airlines its getting absolutely ridiculous and embarrassing

The airline "didn't want kids to find themselves in airport chaos" then did it exactly that

There's no reason these kids should have been stuck alone! Delta has plenty of money. They should have made these children a priority and bought them tickets on other airlines that had flights going where they needed to Delta needs to reimburse these people for whatever money they had to spend to get their kids home!

This must be one of the most frightening experiences for these minor. It's good to know that everyone is home yo thier parents save and happy 😊

This is scary. If I had kids, I would be afraid to let them fly alone

0:01 Microsoft Glitch? This has NOTHING to do with Microsoft! CrowdStrike is to blame!

I was stuck in Atlanta for 2 days. It was crazy. I was on my way to visit my long distance bf. First time traveling alone. Thankfully my amazing bf and his family drove 10 hours to come get me 😭😭 did I mention it was my first time meeting his parents? Quite the meeting 😭 I didn’t have any of my luggage and I looked like a MESS lol!!!

This is ridiculous as it is, and unacceptable, but I can't even put into words how even more appalling it is for the kids to be stranded and not get immediate help. That has to be some additional issue of possible child endangerment, maybe? Not by the parents, but due to the CrowdStrike failure and then, delta's unreasonably long help time.

I'm glad the 3 of them made it back to their hometowns. I hope they had enough money for food. I also wonder where they slept while at the airport since you have too be 21+ to check into a hotel on your own.

They obviously weren't thinking about kids that were already in the middle of traveling
