Grand Canyon Skywalk in Arizona

The Skywalk opened in 2007 and is operated by the Hualapai Nation. The Skywalk was assembled on top of the canyon wall and moved into final position by a jack and roll rig. The Skywalk infrastructure itself weighs a little over 1million pounds. The Skywalk is 4770 feet above sea level and has a glass walkway visitors can see the canyon below their feet as they walk.

Just went there 2 days ago and I have serious height phobia. Went with my brother and cousins and they are all younger than me and so I decided to force myself to do it. I took one glance down and I immediately felt like I was going to faint 😮‍💨😂 I pushed through and held on to the rails the whole time and did not look down again and went across it fast to get inside the building after they took our pictures. Awesome experience but that will be my only time going. Also a heads up if you do go. You can’t bring your cellphone there but photographers will take pictures for you which you have to pay for afterwards.

It's a tourist trap and not run by the NPS. Instead of this try a Rim-To-Rim hike and you'll have more fun and come back with good stories.
