My Little Warner Bros: Tell Me Lies

I'm alive! Had to deal with a few things after my vacation, and I'll throw up another interlude video to talk about them later. In the meantime let's talk about this one here. You may remember that I upload a non-Disney song between each of my sets and this time around the movie I'm working on is Cats Don't Dance. What you might not know is that this song here is the entire reason I picked it in the first place.

This song is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard out of an animated film, and I couldn't have picked a better pony for it if I tried. Just the image of Applejack begging someone to tell her the lies she just can't tell herself... I've been looking forward to this one. While my editing still wasn't quite up to the task of doing it justice, in my mind... this was just perfect.

I do not own My Little Pony or Warner Bros., but I do have... wait, what is that? I don't remember getting that. I can't even tell what it is... weird...

This song is to AJ what "Very Good Advice" was to Rarity. A song that explores them as a character, not just a role they play in the film.

To be fair, Pinkie Pie didn't change at all, nor did the princesses. And I believe that somethings don't need to change. They are good enough as they are.

Yes! This is my thoughts exactly. After three seasons, Applejack is pretty much the same as she was when we first met her. All of the rest are doing stuff and getting what they've been wishing for, and meanwhile poor AJ gets nothing but character growth... and very little at that...

It's because her character arc is done. She has what she wants(being a farmer) and isn't looking to be something bigger. She hasn't shown any desire to make the farm larger, and it always seems to be under money troubles anyway. Her only major character flaw is she can be stubborn, and that's been gone over multiple times.

They would have to add another characteristic to her to really do much more with her.

The funny thing is, she doesn't even seem to mind all that much. It's funny in a way. Applejack is arguably one of the strongest characters in the show, and yet she also strikes me as the most maternal. I really hope they explore that in season 4.

Actually, considering the amount of characters in the show that are completing their arcs, or close to completing their arcs, Applejack just stands where she is.

It appears the only thing really left to do with applejacks character is to explore her parents absence in full. She has a lot of potential with that as a character but I doubt the writers will be that courageous to do something with it. The best youll see of applejacks character growth will sadly be in fanfiction. But who knows? Maybe. Just maybe the writers will do this pony justice.

Well, as she stands, Applejack is a complete character. "She wanted to work on the Applefarm and has been happily doing so ever since." I really wish they could of developed her competitive nature, as seen in "Fall Weather Friends" I would say more stubbornness, but they already did that. Twice. Wait no... three times. (Family Reunion counts)
