i lost my best friend to a motorcycle accident and i havent talked to him for a while because of life and us living in different countries. i never thought i'd lose him like this and i wish i had just a bit more time to explain how good he was in my life and in general. this song explains exactly what he would say if he could talk to me right now, and he had a fiancé that he wanted to marry. this song just gives me the choked up feeling from start to finish but i want to sing along to it for a very long time.

I had a friend pass away 8 years ago and i can't help but comeback to this song when i think of her. I miss her so much even though it's been so long since her passing. It still feels like yesterday when she was hanging out with me as we talked about boys and coming up with her wedding plans and baby names...i miss get so much

Wow, what a ridiculously good song. That chorus might be the best I've ever heard in all my many decades of listening to music.

I was on a 10 hour road trip to visit and tell all of my college buddies, that were graduating and going their own way, "goodbye". Nine and a half hours into the trip and my best friend from high school called to tell me that our other friend had passed away. The last time I visited her, I had told her that I was going to visit her again even as the cancer mass continued to grow in her spine causing her agonizing pain. I didn't fulfill that promise. Once the phone call ended and my sobbing subsided, I decided I wasn't going to spoil my college friends' big day so I put on a fake smile and sucked it up. I still hate myself for all of it.

This song is perfect. Life isn't made up of a few events. Once people are gone, they are gone. We shouldn't take life for granted. Spend time with your friends and family while you get the chance because one day you won't get another chance. I was amazed at how many of my classmates showed up at my friend's funeral. She didn't need anyone there at that moment in time and she could have cared less. She needed them when she found out she had cancer 2 years prior. Weddings and funerals are both a piss poor excuse to get together.

God damn. Just this week, I was doing really good. No depression or anxiety. Somewhere in the middle of the week, my brain just punched me with the "I'm gonna die alone"... I had to fight it back. This is like an anthem for me now.

I really love this song, even when it was first uploaded, but it has come to mean so much more. Roughly 2 months after it was uploaded I had a car accident that could have easily killed me but I got lucky and walked away unscathed. That gave me the perspective of a person who passed and who would have left the lyrical feelings to those I cared about. Earlier this year I lost a grandparent and still miss the little things of not seeing him. And finally a few weeks ago an acquaintance of mine was murdered we weren't close but I always thought I'd run into him again.
