I often hear that harry and ginny had way a better relationship development in the book. I just wish we saw a lot more of that in the movie. More of her character, their interactions and relationship to really get behind the ship.

the thing i always loved about them is how harry can find so much comfort in ginny. like, he's such a traumatized character, especially the more we go forward in the story (Cedric and Sirius dying in front of him etc), but yet whenever he talks about ginny in the book he's always like "she's the only good thing in my life, the best thing that ever happened to me in this fucked up world". his last thought before voldemort "killed" him in the forest was literally about ginny. like he's so in love with her.
and ginny in the books is such a good character. one of my favs. also i loved how she called out Harry's bullshit sometimes. that's when you know a couple has a good dynamic

Before that, in the Order of The Phoenix Ginny and Harry were alone in the library, just both of them talking to each others and getting chased out by Madam Pince for eating chocolates in the library and that's important (first time being together without Hermione, Ron, etc)

Harry and Ginny have a much better and more complex relationship in the books. They're definitely worth reading because you get so much more detail and the characters are fleshed out a lot more.

I always hated how the movies downplayed harry and ginny's relationship but always made it seem like a harry/hermione relationship was a possibility.

In the book, Harry caught a particular scent when he was near that potion where you can smell what attracts you (I forgot what it was called). Anyways, I remember that he smelled that scent when he was near Ginny but he didn't realize it at that time. Idk that part just got me, it's so sweet.

I always hated Ginny's potrayal in the movies. Her actress, Bonnie Wright was a spectacular actress but instead of making Ginny the bold, daring, and confident young woman she was like in the books, the directors chose to make her awkward and only there to be Harry's love interest, from what I've seen in the movies, nothing like the books. There should have been more to Harry and Ginny's relationship in the movies as well.

I don’t think it exactly covers this in the movies but Harry would get kinda jealous when Ginny got a boyfriend, also he didn’t realize he had feelings for her and would say stuff like “you don’t like it because it’s Ron’s sister” to himself

it's also so heartbreaking but also beautiful how Harry and Ginny have both been, in a way, possessed by voldemort and they are able to grow closer because of that and heal together from it, especially during their conversation in order of the phoenix after they get back from st Mungos. Ginny's never afraid to call out Harry's bs when he's acting like a victim too by pointing out that the other characters have gone through trauma and hardship as well and for that reason they're so cute and perfect 🥺 READ THE BOOKS EVERYBODY!!

One of my favorite parts of their relationship in the books was when in the half-blood prince. When Harry noticed that he was once again the topic of gossip, but that he didn’t care because for the first time the gossip was about someone who made him happier than he could ever remember being. ❤️

Please make part II, like how Ginny caught the snitch and saved the game bc Harry had detention, and how they had stolen moments and he wished they could have had months or years together, how he deeply missed her in book seven, checking the marauderer's map for her, asking himself if she thinks of him, her spells that attacked Malfoy in book 5, and so on and on...

one of my favourite scenes in the book is when ginny is sitting in harrys lap in the common room with hermione and ron and shes talking about how theres three dementor attacks in one day and all she gets talked to about was by romilda vane if it was true that harry had a hipporgtiff tattoo. “well what did you say?” harry asked she then replies saying she said it was a hungarian horntail. “much more macho” she adds then harry asked what she said ron had and she answers, “a pygmy puff, but i didnt say where 😏)

edit 2: in the seven harrys scene in the deathly hallows book, ron says “i knew she was lying about that tattoo” 😂

I am so disappointed in the way they portrayed their romance in the movie, cause it’s honestly really cute in the books and Ginny is like pretty laid back about it. But in the movies it seems like Harry decided to date a fangirl and that fangirl happened to be Rons brother, it was so forced :((
