This is a tune I used to hear on FM radio in the '70s. I remembered it recently, and didn't really know how to search the internet for it. No lyrics, and I never knew the title. I just knew the sound of it, which is like nothing else ever. That line on an electric 12-string guitar (?) is so clean, fast, strong, and then the phasered drums drop in, and an electric violin solo. What a sound!
Somewhere in the back of my head, I knew it had to be ELO; that there's no one else who makes this kind of music. So I searched for ELO instrumentals, found a few, and started listening. Finally, one was a MIDI version of this song. It was kind of horrible, but at least I had a title. I was here seconds later.
