I love how Earth is always that little bit insensitive to the feelings of other planets and that Jupiter is like a father to the terrestrial planets, talking the Earth out of doing dumb things.

I have a theory as to why the Sun is so crazy.
I think once, when he was young, he was normal and kind, but very lonely. As the planets began to form around him, he was overjoyed that he would finally have many friends. But then the era of Great Clashes began. The fact that dozens of planets - potential friends fly chaotically and destroy each other, broke the Sun's psyche.
Since then, the Sun strictly prohibits the remaining planets from leaving their orbits, so that they do not accidentally destroy each other.

I like the touch of Jupiter seems to avoid talking about supernova, hinting that he is really a rouge planet from a supernova that was caught by the Sun’s Gravity.

FYI:
It would be scientifically near-impossible to replace a new sun since it's either the smaller stars too small to support all of the planets, dwarf plants, and asteroids and causing Makemake, Eris, Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, and probably Saturn to drift off, or the larger stars too large to fit or else it would consume most of the inner planets. And it would also be impossible to even create a star at this time.
