You look up at the sky and see a giant red ball instead of a yellow dot... Let's imagine the sun being replaced by another star. How would it affect our lives?

This makes me appreciate the mastermind architect that fited everything in order. You can call it luck... but I call this creation and we are all part of a masterpiece.

I wish we were learning this kind of stuff in school ...

Let’s be honest we learn much more from bright side than we learn in school

My uncle was a world renowned physicist who developed black whole entropy theory. It’s called the Bekenstein Hawking black hole entropy theory. My uncle was Bekenstein and Stephan Hawking was Hawking of course. True story. May he Rest In Peace ✌🏻

I love the way how bright side simplifies everything for every person to understand plus the visuals are outstanding. It helps our imagination grow wider!

So THIS is the Star that the Serpentine general Arcturus was named after.

The Sun, a yellow dwarf star, doesn’t have enough mass to go supernova and explode.. It will instead lose its outer layers after turning into a red giant and condense into a white dwarf, about the size of the Earth.

In order for Arcturus to support life, planets would have to be between 12.8 and 17.5 AUs to be habitable.

Inhabitants would become real life versions of the Cardianon, a lizard like humanoid race in the Star Ocean series.

I have a theory:
If an object denser than any of the matter other than a black hole (also denser than a black hole) is placed near a black hole. What will happen ?

our sun isn't massive enough to go super nova, at the end of it's red giant phase it would just shed the outer layers, not in an explosion but more of an evaporation, and in the middle where the sun currently is there would be a white dwarf, about 60% of the sun's current mass, and approximately the size of earth

I got 5 words for us:

Appreciate Our Sun, Don’t Complain

0:36 _"[Because Arcturus is 25 times larger than the Sun] the distance from our planet to the star is now 25 times less"_

Wait, what? That's not how it works man.

Radius of the Sun = 696, 340 km
Radius of Arcturus = 25 x 696, 340 = 17, 408, 500 km
Distance of Sun from Earth = 147, 150, 000 km
Reducing the distance by 25 times = 147, 150, 000 / 25 = 5, 886, 000 km
So for an object to be 25 times closer to Earth than the Sun it has to have a radius of = 147, 150, 000 - 5, 886, 000 = 141, 264, 000 km

In other words, for a star to get 25 times closer to Earth than the Sun, it would need to be = 141, 264, 000 / 696, 340 = *203 times* the size of the Sun, not 25 times like Arcturus.
