Asked her out and confessed to her and she didn't feel the same way. There's way more to this story but I have been in love with this girl for 4 years and it all came crashing down today. This song reminds me of her and I know this song will keep reminding me of today even in the future. It'll be a while til i can ever move on from the love of my life but it is what it is. Tears are streaming down my face but I don't feel hate, regret or fear towards her. I'll look back on this day as a major learning lesson in my life and the day I lost the love of my life. I discovered Laufey a few days ago and I broke down while listening to this song today. As a guy, I don't really express my negative emotions and find it hard because I know better and I shoudn't wallow in self pity. But this song reminds me of how I should set her free from my mind and simply wish her love. To whoever is reading this, I hope you never go through this emotion of hurt and pain, and I hope you find love. But if you're currently experiencing this feeling, remember that everything happens for a purpose and we must slowly learn to love them a little less, day by day, in order to truly move on and find someone that will appreciate you back.
