First run in the all-lightstrike, no rods do-it-all from Adidas. The shoe certainly has that aggressive rocker of its bigger sibling, but the difference in foams make the SL version of the Evo a versatile shoe that can handle everything a daily trainer can do and then some.

I only had a short run with some strides on the calendar, but so far, I’m loving what I’ve experienced. I would like to take it out for a fartlek or other light workout to see how it fares at speed for longer periods. But this very well could be the Peg Turbo or Rebel that I’ve been waiting for.

Testing continues, and I’m trying not to get ahead of myself after just an hour in the shoe, but I suspect that the Evo SL is going to be challenging a lot top dogs in a variety of categories.

Looking for a while for something superblast-esc but lighter and less massive.
A daily trainer with smooth and effortless bounce at most paces from the super foam.
Love my superblast, but find that size unnatural and handling it lowers my cadence.
Crossing my fingers for this one.
