Fragrances I Love But Just Can’t Wear

Let’s talk about those fragrances we adore but can never find the right occasion for. Here are mine:

1. Layton Exclusif – A powerhouse! Bold, masculine, and a bit old-school. It’s packed with spicy apple, oud, creamy vanilla, coffee-like nuances, and a touch of animalic depth. It’s an attention-grabber for sure, but just a little too much for me to confidently pull off.

2. Maksim Parfum’s Musk Couture – Easily the standout in Maksim’s collection. This one is risky, high-end, and packed with layers: fruity brightness, natural Siberian deer musk, oud, resins, and amber. It’s dark yet sweet, luxurious yet overwhelming. The quality is unmatched, but I’m lost on when I’d ever wear it.

3. 1 Million Golden Oud – Imagine the classic 1 Million DNA infused with oud, leather, dried spices, woods, and a lingering bubblegum sweetness. It’s rich, decadent, and unforgettable, but it’s also just too bold for most situations.

Azarro wanted by night because it's not a casual, bar/club, or a suit and tie type of fragrance to me. It's like a dressed up date night winter fragrance.

Dior Homme Parfum for me. It’s my favorite designer fragrance ever made, but so hard to pull off.

Ombré Leather. I hate it on my skin, but I love it in the air.
Day-to-day I wear Layton, or Montblanc explorer, or Green Irish Tweed. Maybe the special occasions in the winter I’ll wear Grand Soir. But Ombré leather on my skin, I hate.
But I love the smell of it in my car. So that’s literally the only time it gets used is the occasional spritz on the floor once a month.

Layton Exclusif is my favorite cologne and the best from PDM, but I only wear it to special events.

Layton Exclusif is an easier wear for me. Rocking SHL - Mortal Skin today. I wear all sorts of natural oud oils, attars with natural civet / deer musk from the likes of Ensar, ALD, etc. doesn’t matter. I think overthinking a proper time and place for fragrance instead of just wearing what you like, makes collecting less enjoyable. I never wear things for the sake of being agreeable. It can be simplified down to practically wearing any fragrance and just managing sprays for situations. If I wanted to wear something explosive like megamare but I was going to be indoors I would simply do a single spray to the chest so I wouldn’t project as hard and I wouldn’t run into any issues. It’s a fun hobby! Have fun with it, I don’t think it needs that much rigidity

For me it’s tom ford noir extreme. I absolutely love how that one smells and it is one of my favorites in my collection, but I just can’t find an occasion for it.

For me it's Al Haramain amber oud tobacco edition for suuure. The scent grew on me but I still can't think of an occasion where it feels appropriate to wear it

I’d like to keep it simple. I wear heavy fragrance in th cold weather and light airy ones in the hot or mild weather, no matter the occasion 😀

I really love this fragrance, but it opening too woody, quite animalic, dark and dirt in a first couple hours, after that turn more sweet and more balanced

Nothing cause I wear want I want 😂 the hardest part is find a sweet spot of sprays. That musk one sounds like the hardest one to pull off

Tom Ford fucking fabulous. It's leathery, dark, and spicy-sweet, it's smells so sophisticated but I would legit get an off putting feeling when I smell this in like a formal or semi formal environment.
