They've done 3 in 5 years, and back to back. I'm from NE, so I'm a patriots fan. The pats basically had 3 different dynasties, but they were all under brady and belichick. Their 1st dynasty basically from 01-06, they won 3 in 4 years (01, 03, 04). They then became an offensive team because most of their defensive players got older and they as a result they were no longer as dominant defensively...even though they still had good players, but their defenses from 2001-2005 were unbelievable. Hard hitting, physical, on field leadership, great at literally every position... then from basically 2010-2019 they were more of an offensive team with a quality defense. Ninkovich, Hightower, Gilmore for a year, McCourty, wilfok. Good players but not quite what they had in the early 2000's.

I personally think those patriots team were better than the chiefs, I think they were more consistent on a week in week out basis...but this chiefs team finds ways to win and some of their methods are unconventional. Even mahomes is unconventional. He does it much differently than brady did it. Brady is the most conventional QB in history. Mahomes might be the least most conventional QB in history. Brady would just stand there and literally pick a D apart. That's not what mahomes does. Mahomes scrambles, and does all kinds of crazy stuff...but it is effective.

I think my point is that this chiefs team is very different than those patriots teams. Very difficult to compare, although honestly, I think the patriots were better, because I think that they were able to beat teams more straight up and more conventionally. Whereas the chiefs employ a lot of trick plays and weird stuff that most teams don't do. I just think it was harder to beat the patriots under brady than it is to beat the chiefs under mahomes because I think the chiefs are not quite as "fine tuned" and they often times fall behind and look like they're gonna lose. The patriots in their championship years never had that
