Admire Alexis for staying positive but as a fan of this team the rest are right. NYCFC absolutely sucks and I dont think we're getting better this year. We have no direction under Cushing. I really hope Im wrong but I just dont see it.

The 12 game winless streak was the sign that the team was falling apart
Fans having harsh conversations with the players which resulted in mixed reactions from everyone
Overall the team pretty much fall from their grace after winning MLS Cup in 2021 and Campeones Cup in 2022.
As a STH I'm keeping my expectations on a high low, I'm going to give the players and the coaching staff at least 10 games to prove me and the fans wrong and that's all I have to say

This is a very different team from last year. New forwards and new wingers. Not only do we have a lot of new young players, but we're playing a more pressing attacking style. This is still a rebuilding team but don't make a judgement based on last year's team.

New York City fan here, and to be honest, I have to agree with a lot of what he said our biggest flaw this season is going to be that goal scoring position, well yes we did bring someone in this season. I don’t think it’s gonna be enough to make a massive impact. I do think we will end up in the wildcard spot. However, if we really wanna be pushing for the MLS cup, we need to be signing players to replace those that we had lost. we cover up the defense and midfield pretty good it’s just that striker position that is left to be filled and when you haven’t filled it for two seasons now, people are going to ask questions about the teams actual ability score. I just hope he makes the right changes so we can actually push for the title. I’m giving him one in the last season to prove himself and make a push for playoffs and if he can’t do that, but has to go

I'm surprised David Lee wasn't mentioned. As a sporting director, it's his job to find players, no? We lost Taty AND Héber. We didn't play with a natural number 9 for *21 matches*, and the number 9 we signed wasn't bad but wasn't good. Some of this surely falls on David Lee.

NYCFC will have another dreadful season with Nick Cushing as head coach.
