I found it helpful to change my entertainment time into education time. I learned to cook with dried beans, lentils and grains, which cut my food costs. I learned to crochet and sew with thrifted fabrics so I could give handmade gifts that I'd customized. Of course, we all need relaxation, but if time is tight, you can build new skills and be entertained at the same time.

Thank you . I'm living in a old Mobile home for now . And I'm debt free with a decently stocked pantry . And I basically can afford to buy anything I want within reason . But I'm saving every extra penny for my permanent little homestead home ! And my hobbies are learning as much as possible now . ❤❤❤

Very important, immediately applicable and accurate money saving info! Starting in early childhood we have been trained via TV and on-line media to spend all our money on so many things that we do not really need and it keeps us struggling! It keeps us down! with depression and anxiety....working but staying poor. Thank you for NOT having random web images and mini clips with annoying music!

Before growing food or having animals, you need your own infrastructure, you have to control your own power and water, this is why so many people want to go off grid. Once you control power and water, now you're ready to have animals and compost, once you have some animals and have started composting, now you are ready to start growing food, it's a step by step in this order, this puts you in a powerful position for success.

Another good video with some great information. I do disagree with you on the job comment. I am pushing 70 and have worked at some sort of a paying job starting when I was about 8 years old. I believe that hard work for either an employer or for yourself is the only way to better yourself and your family's financial status. Having said that I also see the need for family time and being around to help with family chores and issues. I see a totally different outlook with younger people today. Many of the young family members and younger friends take advantage sick days and vacation days. It seems to me they expect a easy job with little expected of them by way of work standards and the the amount of completed work. But yet they expect great benefits and quick promotions. I have seen some younger folks quit a good job just because they were not promoted within a few months of joining the company. I once was told by a company owner he would not even interview a younger person. His reasoning was because they just will not come to work or if they do show up they do nothing all day. Hard work make an employee valuable to the employer. Valuable employees stay employed longer and make more money. More money earned the better quality of life for the family. At the same time a person needs to devote as much effort into the family. It is a hard balancing act.

*Informative & gorgeous. I'm so lacking not having a woman like this in my life. I'll settle for her information. Her hubby is one lucky guy. Salute to the both of them. I keep my life simple and live frugal to the fullest. Keep the info coming.*

Great video. If you want to be a homesteader, preparer, and/or be self sufficient (what ever you want to call it). Is by doing the unpopular thing. Remember everybody makes money by making you dependent on them.
American’s have been worshiping things more than God, Country, and family for a long time. Which is why many are dependent on the government. Work to live do NOT live to work.

Ello Barb's Huosband and Barbara.

Think all tings Easy! even if difficult. World too big, make it small. World too small, make it big.

The "n-o" word is just a brilliant word for intense self improvement. Go forth and conquer.

Try to open up a Roth IRA and contribute to it every year. And leave the money there. Invest in a good mutual fund or a good ETF. ❤ The channel 👍

Some newer vehicles are cheaper than used now. The market for used has gotten really out of hand.

Some good ideas but remember that todays vehicles and appliances are all computerized and that makes it almost impossible to fix without "the" computer system from the manufacturer.
