there's a ton of challenges you could do in this game that would be way more interesting than just grinding frogs for hours on end. that's not even a challenge, it's just tedious lol

Protip: The devs have said in interviews since that they made plenty of subtle optimisations to prevent this kind of grinding.
Meaning those toads will yield less bolts for each round, until they give you next to nothing.

I did something like this in Pikmin 2, paying off the debt using only bolborbs before ever getting the globe or any other treasures (aside from that one that's required)

Why would anyone do this as a challenge? It wouldn't even be remotely fun. Play the game with only the wrench or something. Not stay in one area and farm frogs for bolts for 200 hours. 🤡
