Having recently fought with the bad UI to trial and error this, I can say this is a perfect rundown and should be the go to reference for beginners. Nicely done

Thanks Mark! I admit, I always struggle with the formulas to get them right. From now on, this hopefully will be no more problem ;-)

Hi, I wonder when conditional formatting (if ever) will become dynamic like array formulas...

Great video. At the end of the video, the order of fhe conditonal formatting is the wrong way in my head. You hadnt selected stop if true so doesnt that mean it will work through tnem from the top, or is it actually saying the top one has priority?

Hey Mark, nice primer on Conditional Formatting. My biggest wish for improvement on Conditional Formatting would be to allow for changes in font and font sizes. Any way we could get Microsoft to allow that?

I faced this exact problem recently. I had to do everything manually, and it was so frustrating! I know there's a better way, but with limited time, it's hard to learn new things. Now, I'm taking my time to learn on my own. I wanted to format rows by supplier name so that each group of suppliers has a distinct color. The subtotal feature almost met my needs, but it wasn't quite right. Table design samples weren't helpful because they format alternating rows, and I had 10 rows for 'X' company, 7 rows for 'Y' company, and 30 rows for 'Z' company. I needed to format each supplier group separately. Can I use your formula to achieve this?

I like conditional formatting but the equations break when rows are deleted or added and cells are moved. Even when I use the dollar sign to fix the column it breaks
