I never found flying in the rain tough. But then again I'm lucky enough to fly a plane with a wiper.

Flaying in the rain is difficult. The most difficult thing for a pilot in the rain is flying around the curvature of the earth. The pilot must continually adjust the aircraft. If he doesn't, he will fly off the curvature of the Earth. Also Steering against the rotation of the earth is also very difficult for the pilot. If he doesn't, he'll end up in another part of the country. Fortunately, the pilot has a horizon meter to monitor the curvature of the earth.
